Are there any side effects?Updated a month ago

Aside from your Wheyl energy gels giving you the boost and second wind you need to finish your runs, rides, and trails, energy gels are known to sometimes not agree with one’s stomach. While we’ve carefully chosen glucose and fructose as the combination for your Wheyl energy gels, it’s still best to err on the side of caution.

In order to avoid running into gastrointestinal discomfort, here are some tips from the Wheyl team who have tried-and-tested your Wheyl energy gels:

  • Train your gut! Try using your Wheyl energy gels during your long training runs first, before committing to consuming them in races. This whey, you can be absolutely sure that your Wheyl energy gels agree with your stomach.

  • Take multiple smaller sips, instead of finishing your Wheyl energy gels immediately in one go. As they say: it’s a marathon; not a sprint. Smaller sips will allow your stomach to absorb your Wheyl energy gels better.

  • When in doubt, please consult your doctor.
